What we don't do
We measure and functionally test every link and hand over a report per measurement. Official certification with a manufacturer warranty is something else and we do not do it.

Standard with every run
This professional commissioning is standard with every cabling run. No extra costs. It's simply included, so you know for sure that the infrastructure functions and is ready for MSP/IT management.
Having existing network cabling measured
Is the cabling already in place but never measured? Then you do not know whether a link is too long, badly terminated or has too much attenuation. We measure both newly installed and existing installations, even ones we did not install ourselves. On existing installations we check the labelling at the same time and update the cable plan based on what we measure.
Functional testing and measuring are not the same thing. A functional test checks whether there is a connection. Measuring reads out the electrical parameters per link and compares them with the Cat6 or Cat6A standard: insertion loss (IL, how much signal is lost along the way), NEXT (near-end crosstalk, interference between pairs at the transmitting end) and return loss (RL, how much signal bounces back due to impedance differences in the link). That produces a pass or fail per link, in line with TIA-568 and ISO/IEC 11801.
If a link fails, we tell you what is causing it and what a repair costs. Repairs can happen during the same visit or in a separate round. You get a summary of the passing and failing links, so you know exactly what you are handing over to the MSP or the end client.
Expect roughly 5 to 10 minutes per link, including documentation. Measuring an office with 40 connection points is therefore half a day to a full working day. We plan a short intake up front to agree the scope. And to be clear, because this is often confused: you receive a handover report with the measured values per measurement. We do not issue a manufacturer certificate with a system warranty, that is a separate service from the manufacturer.

Want your network cabling measured and tested? We measure Cat6A with a Fluke, hand over a complete report with the measured values per link, and can draw up a cable plan as well. Having existing cabling tested and your network measured is something we do too.
What is in a test report for network cabling?
A test report contains the measured values per cable: length, insertion loss, NEXT and return loss, plus whether the link passes or fails against the standard (Cat6A, for example). It comes from a calibrated Fluke tester and serves as evidence that the cabling was installed correctly.
How do I know my cabling was installed properly?
By having the network cabling measured with a calibrated Fluke tester. A Fluke measurement shows per link whether it meets the standard. If every link passes, the cabling is demonstrably installed properly.
Can you measure existing cabling?
Yes. We can test existing cabling and measure the network, even if we did not install it. You get a report showing which links are fine and which need attention.
Do you measure or do you certify?
We measure. With a calibrated Fluke we read out all standard values per link (insertion loss, NEXT, return loss) and record whether the link passes or fails for Cat6A, for example. You receive a handover report with those measured values per measurement. We do not issue an official certificate with a manufacturer warranty — that is a separate service from the manufacturer.
